Historical Pagla Mosque

Pagla Mosque is located on the banks of Narsunda river in Harua area of Kishoreganj district headquarters.  The historic Pagla Mosque is about two hundreds years old.  This insane mosque with three storey building was built on 3 acres and 6 percent land.  The roof of the three-storey building has three large domes and a minaret equal to the five-storey building.

It is said that many years ago, a spiritual devotee sat on a mat, floated in the river Narsunda and took up position in this place of the mosque.  Gradually many fans gathered around him.  After the death of the spiritual saint, he is buried there.  Later a mosque was built next to his grave and it came to be known as Pagla Mosque.

The Pagla Mosque is not only a religious place of worship for Muslims, but also for other religions.  In a word, it is a universal religious center for people of all faiths.
There is an advantage for thousands of worshipers to stand together and perform prayers, and there is also an advantage for women to perform prayers.

This historic Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj has a special spiritual significance.  People believe that if someone donates something to a mad mosque with sincere intention, then Allah fulfills all the desires of his mind.
Due to such belief, many people donate a lot of money and even gold and silver to the Pagla Mosque.  The Pagla Mosque has already gained recognition as one of the most lucrative institutions in the country due to its large charitable donations.  Lots of foreign currency is also available.

A portion of this income is spent on various service activities.  Various madrasas and orphanages are run with part of this income.
An orphanage has been built next to the Pagla Mosque. The orphanage is also run with the money of the Pagla Mosque.
